These ottomans/poufs are so cool!  They are sturdy and strong and with a cushion on top might even work nicely as a place to sit.  
 
Please keep in mind that these are vintage and wicker.  The inside area was very challenging to reach but I did my best with what I had to work with and feel it has good coverage.  With that said, if you are a perfectionist then these might not be the right fit for you. 
 
I believe that theee are Franco Albini ottomans but not 100% as there are no markings.
